Autumn is here, and with it all the delicious seafood. We're enjoying mussels, crab, oysters, shrimp, langoustines, lobster, and all sorts of other delights. Seafood is at its best now. Or as they say, in all months with the letter R in them. And isn't it wonderful to order a seafood platter and indulge in these goodies.

So what shall we drink with these delicacies? Wines with grapes such as Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Alvarinho, Albariño and Grüner Veltliner pair particularly well with the ocean's delights, as does a lovely Chablis or an Aligoté. And of course, Champagne. This time, I have selected five still white wines which I think are very well suited to the delicious shellfish.
