You just have to face it, the need for strong colours is greater right now than it has been for a very long time. A lovely dose of this is currently on offer at Millesgården in the form of Kaffe Fassett's exhibition The Power of Pattern.
At Millesgården, a large, colourful visit awaits you into the world of one of the most productive textile artists of our time, Kaffe Fassett. The objects on display showcase the breadth of his influence, focusing on the latter part of his career where patchwork techniques and patterns developed for fabrics through quilting are particularly highlighted.

Kaffe Fassett was born in 1937 in San Francisco and moved to London in the 1960s, where he has been active throughout his 50-year career. A career that has focused on exploring knitting, embroidery and patchwork techniques, both independently and in groups, alongside colleagues such as Brandon Mably and Philip Jacobs.
The exhibition has previously been shown in London and Edinburgh before checking in here at Millesgården. We highly recommend a colour-boosting visit, on a cold and grey day as soon as possible.
The exhibition runs until 28th January 2024
