Five new guided tours are now being presented at Dramaten in Stockholm. These tours will take place inside and outside the Thalia House, and will tell stories about the architecture, interior design, and art on both the walls and ceilings.
Guided tours at Dramaten have been popular for many years, and after a break, they are now back.
– As rehearsals and other work are taking place in the building all the time, the tours are held on the terms of the theatre and will therefore have their special character, says Pia Dahlberg, authorised guide and in charge of the guided tours.
The five different guided tours are tailored for different target groups and named after goddesses from Greek mythology, choose to join; Thalia, Melopome, Terpsichore, Clio or Kallipone.

Thalia is the classic showing for the public that is given on Saturdays. Here, the public areas are shown, but also parts of the theatre that can only be seen with a guide. During these tours, information is given about, among other things, the technical work behind the scenes, wig and mask making, and how costumes are produced. These guided tours are also given in English on a few occasions during the autumn.
The long-term goal is to be able to offer tailor-made guided tours for different groups and also offer tours in other languages, including sign language.
