Your body is fantastic - even when you've injured yourself!

In these times, ”when we exercise more but move less,” the risk of injury increases, according to physiotherapist Jessika Törnblom Drangert, who helps patients with various types of sports injuries daily. Her newly published book SThe Kneebible – Free Yourself from Shin Splints, Plantar Fasciitis, Runner's Knee & Other Common Sports Injuries is the ultimate handbook for anyone interested in health and fitness, or who works in healthcare, physiotherapy, and sports.

The feeling of lightness when you move at a furious pace using the power of your body. Not to mention the rush of euphoria that spreads. This is what a workout can feel like at its best.

It's worse when we're forced to interrupt our workout due to overuse injuries. Injuries that can last and limit us not just for a few days, but for months, even years, if we don't treat them correctly. The downside of training, which many dread.

The Bible of Damaged Goods Physiotherapist Jessika Törnblom Drangert takes us on an anatomical journey from the foot up to the neck and head. The book alternates the latest science in the field with real-life examples. Jessika Törnblom Drangert is a licensed physiotherapist with a specialization in sports medicine and sees patients with various types of training injuries daily.

– Through my book, you will learn more about your body and why injuries happen, and how best to avoid them, she says and continues:

– I also provide plenty of suggestions for effective exercises, smart training plans and concrete tips. As I see it, the body is amazing, even when you've been injured. We have a natural healing system that helps us become strong and resilient again – if we just do the right exercises at the right time.

Jessika Törnblom Drangert is a trained dancer and worked at the Gothenburg Opera before she decided to change careers and specialise in sports medicine.

In The Injury Bible, she draws on the latest research findings and combines them with the practical experience gained from 25 years of working with sports injuries.

– Unfortunately, I have seen many examples of how long-term training injuries can affect lifestyle and even mental health. Far too many people go around in unnecessary pain without access to all the knowledge that exists on how to recover after an injury.
