Bostadsbolaget Mimer in Västerås engages its tenants in saving water – for the environment, climate and the wallet. On average, we Swedes use 140 liters of water every day, and through the #waterhack campaign, Bostads AB Mimer wants to show how we can save water. The fact that many tenants also have individual billing and metering of hot water consumption means that the tenant himself can quickly notice a more conscious water consumption.
– This campaign was originally invented by the public housing company Bostadsbolaget in Gothenburg and they have achieved great results through #waterhack. We have inherited the campaign and made it ours.
Now we hope that our tenants are as good at taking the tips and saving water as the people of Gothenburg, says Maria Eberhardsson, sustainability manager at Mimer.
