Just behind the Royal Stables and next door to the Army Museum, we find Restaurant Ergo, which opened at the start of last summer. Fine dining is the concept here, appreciated by both guests and food professionals – the restaurant was recently named the best new restaurant of the year.

We have placed great importance on creating a place where both the food and the atmosphere make guests feel welcome and at the same time experience something extra, something unique.
The premises housing Restaurant Ergo hold the food and beverage experience flag high, as it was previously home to the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Gastrologik. The new Restaurant Ergo is run by an international kitchen team led by Petter Johansson, who has a background from some of the world's most exclusive three-starred restaurants, including Gordon Ramsay in London, Per Se in New York, and Zén in Singapore. Sanna Risberg is in charge of the dining room, and Fredrik Lundgren is the head sommelier. The trio, along with the rest of the staff, aim to create a relaxed yet exclusive atmosphere for every guest.

FROM ASPARAGUS TO WAFFLES
The restaurant has 36 seats and the dining concept is modern and French-inspired, incorporating the seasons. They were looking for a name for the restaurant from French words such as: elegant, pleasant, restaurant. The Latin word Ergo came up, meaning: therefore. They also have their slogan printed on the menu:
”I eat, therefore I am.”

INRIKES was recently invited to try out the new lunch concept, which is a three-course menu offering several choices. Delicious, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. The service also enhances the experience. In the evenings, the menu is larger and offers five courses, also with the option of choosing from different dishes. Alongside this, there are three matching drink packages under the headings:
”Bespoke” pairing, ”Gems” pairing and a non-alcoholic option. In addition to this, a plethora of alternatives can be sourced from the ambitious and extensive wine cellar. Our lunch on this luxurious day began with snacks, followed by a velouté with white asparagus and the option of cod or duck for the main course. A delight that concludes with waffles with strawberry jam, cream, and Sichuan pepper. In addition to the dining room, there is also a separate area for private dining, Ergo Salon. This space can accommodate up to twelve people, with its own entrance and a separate kitchen ensuring a private and exclusive experience.
Prestigious Award
The second edition of the Falstaff Nordic Restaurant Guide recently took place in Malmö, where Restaurant Ergo was awarded. Falstaff Nordics is a comprehensive restaurant guide, where the Nordic region's foremost restaurants are awarded points and prizes in various categories. Restaurant Ergo was awarded the prestigious prize ”New
”Restaurant of the Year". The positive response from both guests and critics has resulted in a top position on Falstaff's Swedish restaurant list 2025, where Restaurant Ergo became the highest-placed newcomer on the list.

– It's a fantastic feeling to receive so much appreciation for our work. We've placed great importance on creating a place where both the food and the atmosphere make guests feel welcome, while also experiencing something extra, something unique.
