In Trelleborg, the construction company Otto Magnusson is now creating a 16-story building with the help of Smidmek that will become the city's new landmark. The building will be the city's second tallest when it is completed, only the water tower is higher. The challenges include weather and wind, but also a swimming pool:
“A pool with a glass bottom will protrude from the facade, which makes the frame assembly extra complex and exciting,” says Peter Alriksson, vice president at Smidmek.
Construction is scheduled to start in October this year and occupancy is scheduled for the turn of the year 2025/2026. The three lower floors of the building will become office space for the municipality and the remaining hotels.
