For over a century, the chrome grille has been a central part of Mercedes-Benz design. Now a new era is being launched when the brand's bestseller, the GLC, is presented for the first time as an electric vehicle. The model is presented with a new interpretation
of the classic grille surrounded by a chrome frame, has a smoke-colored checkered pattern and illuminated outline, as well as 942 backlit light points that can create animated patterns.
“The new grille is a perfect blend of classic design codes and future vision,” says Gordon Wagener, head of design for Mercedes-Benz.
